Lord, It’s Now
A few months ago, I was going through some sad emotional things. A few friends sensed something was wrong, so they called me up to pray, and for about an hour they prayed for me as I wept and they wept in empathy to my pain and hurt. In that moment, a song came to my mind, in particular this verse…
If we’ve ever needed You
Lord, it’s now, Lord, it’s now
We are desperate for Your hand
We’re reaching out, we’re reaching out
The rest of the lyrics are also quite good, so I’ve posted them below. This is not the most upbeat song, but it’s one of those that brings me into a state of worship and humbleness to His revival. I pray that whenever you may feel lost in the unknown, remember to reach out to the Lord. When we fall to our knees, desperate and turn away from our ways, He will reach out to us.
Hear our cry, Lord, we pray
Our faces down, our hands are raised
You called us out, we turned away
We’ve turned away
With shipwrecked faith the idols rise
We do what is right in our own eyes
Our children now will pay the price
We need Your light, Lord, shine Your light
If we’ve ever needed You
Lord, it’s now, Lord, it’s now
We are desperate for Your hand
We’re reaching out, we’re reaching out
All our hearts, all our strength
With all our minds, we’re at Your feet
May Your kingdom come in our hearts and lives
Let Your church arise, let Your church arise
If we’ve ever needed You
Lord, it’s now, Lord, it’s now
We are desperate for Your hand
We’re reaching out, we’re reaching out
We’re reaching out
If we’ve ever needed You
Lord, it’s now, Lord, it’s now
We are desperate for Your hand
We’re reaching out, we’re reaching out
If we’ve ever needed You
Lord, it’s now, Lord, it’s now
We are desperate for Your hand
We’re reaching out, reaching out
We need You now
Revive us now
We need You now
